CPSG Brasil was founded in 2004. In 2019, CPSG partnered with the IUCN Species Survival Commission and Parque das Aves, under the Reverse the Red umbrella, to create the IUCN SSC Center for Species Survival (CSS) Brazil, based at Parque das Aves. CSS Brazil is focused on bringing global standards and tools to improve capacity to assess-plan-act within governments, NGOs, and other relevant stakeholders to save species, as well as improving CPSG Brasil’s capacity and networking, and supporting CPSG’s work.
